While I understand that some instances of resisting arrest may be unjustly prosecuted, I worry that this policy could embolden people to physically resist police officers in dangerous situations.

Bragg has also suggested that he may not prosecute certain drug offenses or sex work-related crimes. Again, I appreciate the intention behind these proposals; the "war on drugs" has wreaked havoc on our communities, and sex workers should not be criminalized. However, I fear that these policies could create a dangerous environment in which people feel more empowered to engage in illegal activity.

Ultimately, I believe that we need more information about Bragg's platform and how he plans to implement these ideas. I hope that as he continues to share his vision for the future of our city, he will listen to feedback from all members of our community and work to create policies that are both effective and just.
